Journey to Stillness

Upon waking, my coffee cup held tight,

Aroma dances, fills the morning light.

Hazelnut whispers, thick vanilla dreams,

As sunlight filters through, softly it beams.

Golden rays stretch on wooden planks laid,

Nostalgia sweeps in, sweet memories replayed.

Childhood mornings, quiet and warm,

Amber hues cradle, a safe, soothing charm.

Lacing up tennis shoes, ready to roam,

In the park’s embrace, I find my home.

Birds serenade with melodies sweet,

While leaves underfoot tell tales of retreat.

In nature’s cathedral, I cherish my day,

Magnificent trees guide me on my way.

No longer do I rush, no dread to confine,

I choose my own peace, my heart’s gentle design.
